Chess Cookie Cutters - The First Game

The first ever chess game played that involved the cookie cutters occurred around lunch time. So instead of making cookies, we made sandwich pieces. Peanut butter and jelly for pawns and cucumber and cream cheese for everything else. The sandwiches were made on either white or rye bread for the different sides. The board was also created out of white and rye bread squares.

Of course, what's a lunch game without a dessert game? Gingerbread and Shortbread cookies were used here for the two sides. And we just played on the same bread square board as the lunch game.
